Surfing the internet I stumbled into our MADE IN ABA website, I couldn't contain my excitement. This innovation is long overdue, I remember telling a friend some time last week that our manufacturers put in so much effort, time and millions of dollars to pirate imported items when they can create their own brand and make a good name for themselves and our country.

I remember my only visit to Aba in my service year, I was in transit but what I saw was amazing! There's absolutely nothing they don't produce. Please don't be deceived that it's all poor quality, it absolutely depends on what a buyer can afford.

The only thing that left me really heart broken was that items made (including suits, shoes and elegant wedding dresses) were tagged with foreign labels. And the reason being that 'Nigerians will not patronize us if they know it's ours'. I believe we Nigerians are gradually having a better understanding.

I pray Jumia and Kong will soon start selling our products. Igbo kwenu!!!
