This Friday is International Women's Day. Artist in Residence Mary Sullivan invites you all to participate in a workshop to celebrate.

Friday 8 March │ 2.00pm to 4.00pm │ International Women's Day
A Pound Stick workshop with a difference, Mary Sullivan invites participants to collectively develop a Morse Code sound piece using voice and pound stick drumming.

Pound fitness classes are a new form of training exercise in which 2 colourful, lightweight drumsticks (ripstick) are used which adds an element of fun to the classes. Karolina Spencer, a professional pound fitness instructor will be joining Mary in the workshop. Everyone will be given a set of ripstix and we will be using them to tap out the word Breathe in Morse code. dress for evening suitable for ladies
Mary will also be using vocal imitation to sound out the word Breathe. It is her intention to record both sounds and use them as part of her finished work.
There are 20 spaces available. These will be a fun exercise and are suitable for everyone. Please dress in comfortable clothing, shoes/ runners. Looking forward to seeing you all there.
